Speeds for the cameras PTZ controls are set to be similar across the board, though there are some exceptions. Camera model, network connectivity, overall Videographer preferences and software versions all come into play when we set the speeds. If Fast Frame and Quickshot functions are not working properly this wouldn’t be urgent but you can still let Support know so they can check it out later.
Things to consider before seeking support:
- Trying using “fixed” and “variable” settings each. Change the PTZ speed settings within LCS using the sliders.
- If your event is not live you may close LCS and reopen it to see if this fixes your issue.
- Once you are live we cannot make backend adjustments to the speeds since it will interrupt the stream.
Immediately reach out to support if you have any of the following:
- No pan, tilt or zoom for any camera at any point in time
- Missing some controls but not others: Can pan but not zoom, etc.
- Lag or delay in control: when you stop moving the camera it keeps going
If you believe the PTZ/camera control is not good enough to continue operating and you have considered the above, please reach out to Event Support via the Chatbot on your homepage by typing in “Agent”.
If you experience any of the following, please add the issue to your Post-Event Survey and do NOT reach out to support during the live event.
NOTE: If the videographer is experiencing any of the below issues, if they have more than 10 minutes until the live event starts they can restart LCS and OBS to fix the issue. If restart is necessary, it should still be placed in their feedback form. If there is less than 10 minutes before going live videographer should not attempt to restart anything without Support’s knowledge/approval.
- Speeds are not fast enough or slow enough for you but do not interfere with normal operation of the event. we cannot adjust for everyone at each event. Use variables and the slider to adjust to your liking.
- Fast Frame or Quick shots not working correctly.
